Thanks for the Canmore link. The responses from the participants were raving! It sounds like a beautiful setting - one I'd like to check out. I haven't ever been in an event with only150 participants. Any idea when it sells out? I'd like to put in on my list of potential races, but would like to wait to commit.
P.S. - I will be in Park City this winter, at least through the end of January. I've got new project in Pensacola, FL that may start in February, but it's not for sure yet. If it goes, I'll be spending a lot of time there. I also spend time in SoCal - mostly Laguna Beach and San Diego. Let me know if you want to come and check out the slopes in Park City. We can show you all the locals powder stashes on the mountain.
Hi Kartika - It's been about 10 years since if been in the BC mountains. I still remember it as the most beautiful back country I've ever seen. Thanks for the info on the BC races. I've got the Kona 70.3 IM the same weekend as the Calgary Marathon, but the tris may fit into my schedule in June and August. I'll see if I can find info on them on the web. Thanks again and have a great winter!
hi Kartika - i've actually done a bunch of races all over canada in the past. only as far north as edmonton though - never calgary! i would love to head back up there...
Thank you for the incredibly moving comments! I am so sorry to hear about your father....life transitions can be so hard, and cause us to cherish so much living to the fullest every moment, recording all the tender and exhilerating moments in our heads for the years to come.....I love that you took such a marvelous trip, and I absolutely adore the pics! Love the idea of such artsy pics while the body is still so serving...maybe I'll take a note from your book and do that before my 1/2IM in July, but before the next birthday...thank you so much for your inspiring comments. You win that award of the day! :)
