Tri Experience:: Age grouper

Tri Distance:: Sprint, Olympic, 2x Olympic (or approx 70.3 mi/51.5km), Long course (or approx 140.6 mi/103km)

My key race for 2008:: It was Ironman CDA, but now I am looking towards a Half iron in september

My key race for 2009:: Ironman CDA. Ironman Louisville

My Tri Story:: I got hooked two years ago and have done 14 so far. I was fortunate to complete my first ironman in my beautiful hometown of CDA this june and also got my first overall win in a sprint tri just a few weeks earlier. I now feel as though triathlon is my lifestyle rather than a sport that I participate in.

Hayden View Triathlon

Hayden View Triathlon August 16, 2008 Hayden, Idaho 80 degrees, 9am start .5 swim, 12.4 bike, 3.6 run When I signed up for this race I was not sure what the turn out would be like considering it was the first year of the event. Come to find out it filled up and there were 200 entrants. It is very exciting to see how much triathlon is growing in and around Coeur d'Alene. So...basically, Seattle area...I am very familiar w/ Cda../Spokane...born and raised there....so the good news w/ the cda Iron man...is I'm very familiar w/ the course...I've run the cda marathon a couple of times...I bet Hayden is a great place for a tri... I may try to come do an event there this fall...and do some training too on that side of the mtns...to get out of the rain!!!

I would like to know more about FCA.

The second loop did me in. I've changed my cassett as a result of CDA. I was using a 25/12 and have switched to a 28/11. That change has already made a difference in the hills I ride here.
I was going to start looking for a place to stay this month. Any information you can share would be nice. Thank you very much.

I love your town. I competed IMCDA this past June and signed up for next year. I'll prepare better for the hills though.

Lake Stevens was a huge learning experience for me. This is my first year and I learned about pace, nutrition and just the joy of finishing. Overall it was a ton of fun!
