Hayden View Triathlon

Hayden View Triathlon August 16, 2008 Hayden, Idaho 80 degrees, 9am start .5 swim, 12.4 bike, 3.6 run When I signed up for this race I was not sure what the turn out would be like considering it was the first year of the event. Come to find out it filled up and there were 200 entrants. It is very exciting to see how much triathlon is growing in and around Coeur d'Alene. I was out with friends the night before so I woke up at 6am to get everything together. Shannon made me some wheat pancakes an… Continue

HI Derek! Fall City is just off of I-90, on a Plateau up above Issaquah. So...basically, Seattle area...I am very familiar w/ Cda../Spokane...born and raised there....so the good news w/ the cda Iron man...is I'm very familiar w/ the course...I've run the cda marathon a couple of times...I bet Hayden is a great place for a tri... I may try to come do an event there this fall...and do some training too on that side of the mtns...to get out of the rain!!!

Thank you for your kind words. As a deciple all I ever try to do in honor Him in all I do. If I have touched someone in a positive way then I have to give credit to the Lord for giving me the courage to open my mouth and praise Him.

God bless you,
Heather

ya, i played last season in europe and i just got into this so it's a huge change as far as style of training goes but i'm used to working my life around training so at least that part isn't an adjustment!

Thanks for the info about lodging. My wife is a little skiddish about staying with someone she does not really know so we'll have to pass on your suggestion.

Good luck and we'll keep in touch.

I would like to know more about FCA.

The second loop did me in. I've changed my cassett as a result of CDA. I was using a 25/12 and have switched to a 28/11. That change has already made a difference in the hills I ride here.
I was going to start looking for a place to stay this month. Any information you can share would be nice. Thank you very much.

May the Lord's sunshine brighten your day,
Michael

I love your town. I competed IMCDA this past June and signed up for next year. I'll prepare better for the hills though.

I hope you can make the lake just a little warmer next year!

God bless you and good luck on all your adventures,
Michael

Hey Derek,
Lake Stevens was a huge learning experience for me. This is my first year and I learned about pace, nutrition and just the joy of finishing. Overall it was a ton of fun!

Wow Derek that is impressive for your first Ironman. IronEagle was my first class win, and then I got my second 2 weeks later at another sprint called Cascades Edge. I can only dream to win overall right now...hopefully one day. I'm doing IMCDA next year and I'm hoping to just break 13 hours.. :)
