Work hard, play hard attitude 24/7. If it were up to me, every Saturday would be a 5 hour brick, followed by a day at North Ave beach, and ending with a night out with friends.

My Tri Story:
I played soccer and swam my whole life. I went to college, joined a frat, ran a couple of bars, and then blew out my right knee. After putting on 60 pounds during the time before surgery and rehab, I decided I needed to get back in shape. I started swimming again, hitting the treadmill, and doing spin classes. After someone at the gym noticed me doing all three of these things fairly well, they suggested I try a triathlon. My first tri was a half iron, Steelhead in August 2007, and since then I've done 5 others, and am completely hooked. I dropped all the weight and am in the best shape of my life. I'm hoping to crack 4:45 at Steelhead next year and 2:20 at an Olympic distance. Any training buddies in the area are always welcome. Ohio St beach is my second home from mid April till September, so keep an eye out for me there.
Cheers.

Thanks for the support. IMFL was awesome. I was blessed with a PR. A finish is always bitter sweet because it ends the journey and begins a new one. I loved every bit of the day. Sore for a while but I can deal with that.
Hi Michael - good luck with CT3! I think groups like that and TNT, etc are great because not only are people out raising money for a cause, they are getting a direct benefit to them physically and I think mentally as well. I used to live in Champaign, IL and have some connections still to the midwest. I'll think about if I know anyone in chicago who might be interested.
Cheers,
Nicole
I could tell from your jersey your connection to LLS. I too have that same connection. I was the first triple crown participant in the Southern Nevada Chapter and one event had the fortunate blessing of being 4th in the nation in fund raising at over $30,000. Currently I serve as a trustee of the local chapter.
