I have been involved in triathlon since I started training for my first Sprint distance race in the fall of 2005. I won my age group in my first-ever race in the Spring of 2006 and became absolutely hooked ever since.
I've done every distance so far (Sprint, Olympic, Half IM, and IM events) but haven't cracked (aka "officially finished") the IM distance...yet! I competed in IM Arizona in April of 2008 but fell just 8 miles short of becoming an Official Ironman. IM Louisville in August of 2008 was my second attempt at becoming an Ironman but I was pulled off the bike at mile 80 of the bike due to dehydration and heat issues (the hills at IM Louisville certainly didn't help!). :-) My next attempt at becoming an Ironman will be in 2009 at IM Arizona! When I'm not training and competing in the great sport of triathlon, I'm a professional Writer/Author.

Did you end up becoming an official Ironman this year?
