On November 22, 2009 at 11:34 PM I finally became an Ironman!

After 16 hours, 34 minutes, and 34 seconds of racing in Tempe, Arizona, Mike Reilly, "The Voice of Ironman" proclaimed to the world, "JEFFREY KERN, YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!!!" On my third attempt at the 140.6 distance, I finally made it across that line and became an official Ironman. Wow! What an awesome feeling!

I have actually been involved in triathlon since I started training for my first Sprint distance race in the fall of 2005. I won my age group in my first-ever race in the Spring of 2006 and became absolutely hooked ever since. When I'm not training and competing in the wonderful sport of triathlon, I'm a Professional Writer and Author.
