frenz! has not received any gifts yet
I was searching... finding... seeking... a good reason... to write this piece (ok, it has been a while since my last blurb). Kinda ironic that the topic is motivation and I had quite a hard time trying to flesh out my thoughts and all the emotions that I had been harboring...
Usually I find inspiration from underdogs or some heroes whom I admire. But a trusty source that I can easily draw strength from, is the movies (those with a GOOD story). Sometimes, we are gripped by fear, fear of success even, that hold us back from reaching our potential. I've not watched the full "Coach Carter" movie yet other than a few clips from YouTube. But this scene resonated well with me.
Another powerful lesson I picked up from (the real) Coach Carter was:
Michael Jordan is one of my fav. sports icon, transcending everything beyond basketball. Came across this poignant 'eye-catching' (pun-intended) ad.
Finally, I leave you with this last (7'16") clip from "Facing the Giants". I've also not seen this movie in its entirety... yet. But hopefully the coach's "keep-going, give-your-very-best" mantra will leave you all PUMPED UP!!! Happy Training! :D
