The 2009 Triathlon Season Is Underway With the Successful Launch of YTS Tampa
Well I am not sure I ever thought I would be saying we are off to a great start to tri season in MARCH! That's the beauty of the gorgeous Florida weather. The success of the season launch in Tampa is to the credit of a great staff that knows how to pull together most efficiently at a new venue, in a new season, with a new group to support...to put on a great race for the best youth and novice adult athletes who will carry the triathlon torch to their next event with enthusiasm!

How often will the kids race the YTS as it grows rapidly
The YTS is growing so fast we'll just have to see which kids show up to race regularly and how often... but the goal is being accomplished...to raise the kids in triathlon by keeping it regularly available to them. The races are being requested quickly and added as they are ready to go. I'm not sure how many we'll actually have in 09...whether it will expand further or stay at 9 but with that we have decided that the points for the YTS will be calculated by taking their best of 6 YTS triathlons… Continue

You will notice in the sport of triathlon that the children’s races, though very cute, are often the addition or after thought to a very well run adult triathlon.
