Greetings, I wanted to pass along some information to see if anyone is interested. I am planning on riding 30 miles or so on Thursday July 7th. I have a good buddy that has never done the course and I wanted to show him the course. It will be a very easy ride, nothing crazy or hammer-like. Would anyone be interested in joining? I am open to a departure time. Take careTimSee More

"There's Pigman 1/2 in Palo, IA in August. I did it back in '04 and it was a well put on race (my first 1/2). I know they switched to a time trial start but don't know the reasons. It had great support but was very hot."

I am definately thinking about Racine again this year!....the 2011 calendar isn't finalized yet. I made a spreadsheet of all possible races (road race, duathlon and triathlon) and came up with 38. I need to work on figuring that out! I would do anything to to have a spot for IM Wisconsin...I had a late added family function this year which had me bailing on volunteering so I could get in for 2011. Rats. Are you thinking about Racine??
Hey Tim, Thanks for the friend request - appreciated! And thank you for the info on Racine. I am looking forward to the race - my first 70.3 (and nervous). I train alone and will be traveling with my parents...so I appreciate any suggestions or helpful tips you have! Good luck with your training as well!
Hey, saw your ? about HIMs for the summer. Racine is now offically a 70.3 its $200 from now till sometime in Feb. I've done Racine the past 2 yrs, but several teammates of mine did Door County last summer in prep for IMWI. Door county is a GREAT race- the challenge of the bike course would be a great training day. I chose Racine last year bc I wanted to go fast. Happy training :)
