Hi Roch. I live in Port Macquarie home of the Australia Ironman. Because we are so far away we dont tend to get a great deal of International athletes. It might be a money factor or its just a bloody long way. I have just come across this web site which is fantastic. I have spoken to a few other members of our Tri club and they would like to help as well. I would love to help and try to intice other athletes from Canada and the USA to make the trip to Oz with free accommodation and an introduction to our tri club and culture. (Beer and Beer) We have a fantastic and challenging IM in Australia. So really the question to you as a coach is would you think that anyone would be interested coming to oz. Our Im is in 11 weeks so might be to soon for this one but certainly next year. Thanks for that, Nigel
Roch, I know you hear it all the time but I love the lighter side you bring to Triathlon. I was just reading in Triathlete about the person that didnt like the Beer Mile. That is a classic, and if some of my Tri-group would break loose I would try it. The only problem is if we drink on the track you go to jail. I guess you go to jail if you get cought. Anyway keep it up.
The beer mile is the funniest thing I've ever seen. I'm organizing one in Louisville, too cold in January here so I'm thinking Oct. maybe Nov. I'm shooting for chip timing and the whole deal. Let you know when we do it and how it goes. And I'm sure there will be a photo or two. Thanks for getting back to me
Yes, it's diesel. Other than for tri's and my biz another reason why I bought the rig is for surfin down south but all the crap that's happening down there kinda made me stay away for now. Sucks!
Driving it up to Vineman Thursday morning. Solo trip and sleeping somewhere for 4 nights in the rig. Should be a good adventure!
