Proud father, hard working, normal guy who found a new fun sport to pursue. Traded in my Ping golf clubs and re-focused the $$$ thousands of dollars normally for golf and bought bike gear,cool wheels, clothing, Gu,etc. all for the love of comraderie and the very real challenge of....... "Can I really do this?"...and ..realizing in the end...YES.... I REALLY CAN !!!
My Tri Story:
A mere 3 years experience in Triathlon races.......stuffed (3) 70.3 and (2) IM 140.6 races into the last 13 months....Man, that was a lot for a soon to be 51 year old newbie!!
Greatest moment ever....Crossing the finish line with my 7 year old daughter Makayla at IM Florida 2007 hearing those famous words "YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!!"....There will be more Ironman's in the future...but none will ever replace the feeling of finishing that first one with her......
Oh yes...by the way...a special thanks and my deepest love goes out to my sweetheart Amber who was, and is there always for me while I train and compete in this wonderful sport.
