Yes. I tried playing it off like making the wrong turn wasn't my fault, but everyone's still rubbing it in my face...LT's are notorious for their land navigation skills.
Hey Kid, haha., well i was supposed to have 3 in september...but I'm leaving for Europe tomorrow now instead on a research trip. So the next will be a dinker sprint in Hermosa. The Oceanside Half is going to be my big one next spring that I'm going to start training for.
Morning yes those wave were quite intense Every few tri athlons i think the organises seek out a new chalange like a 8foot shore break fun though can only be the belovered country South Africa wild side Port Elizabeth on a beach called Pollocks Beach.
Thanx for the coment
Welcome my 1st half was so addictive i cant look back.Good luck with the training protect those ribs.Nice photies didnt swim with that snow in the backround i hope
Hello, so glad to hear from you. Well"my ribs" can only be associated with getting possibly kicked in the ribs during the swim, I am certain that this is the case, because this was the smallest race I have ever done that I figured I would just breeze through, and after the swim, the bike, and the run almost killed me!! I knew there was something wrong it took me almost 35 min to run 3 miles???? So after the xray i realized why!!! Anyway I figure maybe 2 more weeks of rest, and then back to square one!! I will have to write more later, I am at work and I have a client, ttyl Liza
Hey there, good to hear from you too, lucky you stummbled on this site, there are quite a few other Tri sites out there but this does seem to be the friendliest.......................and of course I'm a member ;o)
So "2 hairline fractures in my ribs from my last race" has put pay to your training at the mo', sorry to hear that.....but it does sort of beg the question 'what happened?', do tell!
To tell you the truth my training is somewhat lacking at the moment too, finished my 1st Ironman about 6 weeks ago & am now really struggling to get going again, the weather here in the UK, also have exams to revise for, so really not doing that much at mo'. Saying all this, if your half Ironman is not until Nov, you have got lots of time, so I won't worry about it tooooooo much, just rest & heal...............suppose it gives you a bit of time to 'float around' on this new found site of yours!
I’m stationed in Iraq currently, looking forward to competing in AZ when I return next year…although, there is rumor of a tri being held here on base next month. Should be interesting, considering my current bike set-up. Thanks for the add!

If you want, I am part of a team that trains every morning in key biscayne. Every morning from Monday through Saturday. Our coach is amazing.
Hope all's well :)
