"Hi Bob - I RSVPd for myself awhile ago. But just to re-confirm for counts. I'm actually heading down with (6) ppl total from my southeast Michigan tri club, some are part of this group, some not, so don't know who may have RSVPd already…"
"Hey Bob - I'm back again for another go at IMKY!!! A large group from my local SE Michigan tri club signed up for Louisville so I decided to do the same race so I could train with friends. Several of us are planning on attending the July…"

"I hate to be the cheesy one...but would anyone scoff at name tags??? some of us have been blogging back and forth for awhile and may have met at the group ride events, but the name refresher might be very helpful at the social. looking forward to…"
"Just to add to the discussion...let's say you decide to brave it and you pee on yourself...what's the next step? I've seen people squirting themselves in the crotch with water bottles to "clean up"...any other tips if one…"
"I believe it's about 12 miles btw the Sligo gas station and the turn at 393 (on 2nd loop you keep going straight)...
Josh - interesting about the idea that you go faster the last 30 miles...I certainly didn't, but maybe I was starting to…"
"Jeff read my mind. The section of 42 he is talking about is tough. It's a long stretch and not sure if the wind pattern is like this majority of the time but for my training ride last weekend you were riding into the wind. Mentally this is a…"

"Hi Bob - question on the SAG vehicles...are they carrying anything for riders or are we to be totally self sufficient for nutrition and they are just there as safety back-up in case of bike problems, etc.....? I'm assuming people stop at gas…"
"Hi Bob ! Just reconfirming myself Leigh Ann Knaus and I will be bringing a friend Sarah Chapman, also doing her first Ironman in Louisville this year. We both plan on doing the swim clinic before the ride. Thanks! See you this weekend!"
"Terry - Thank you for posting such an honest post. And to the rest of you, thank you for posting such heartfelt and often funny responses (Bob with your A, B and C race goals!) . This has brought renewed motivation and a smile to my face and even…"
Haha yeah, today was pretty brutal. Glad you made it! Several of us are going to go back tomorrow around 7 for a longer swim. BTW if you want to add a little more distance to your run you can also run across second street bridge and back; it has a pedestrian walkway and is part of the run course.
I saw your post on the swim/bike thread... I would recommend *not* trying to run the IMKY run course tomorrow. It's through downtown Louisville and you'll spend a lot of time waiting for stoplights since the streets won't be closed like they are on race day.
Instead. I would start at Waterfront Park and then run down River Road (basically follow the first part of the bike course). That part is rather flat and there are a couple parks along the way where you can get off the road and onto a pedestrian walkway instead.
