The harder something is to conquer the sweeter the reward. Anyone looking to really test their physical and mental toughness should sign up. The volunteers and fans surpassed anything I have ever seen at any race or event. They were my heros for the…
Valerie, look forward to talking with you. I have a friend who completed the Leadville 100 last year, her first attempt. I know someone who is doing it this year and I was going to pace him on one of the legs. I would love to help you also.
Nice bike Stacy :) Did you grow up in Utah? I am from Ogden, went to BenLomand HS, we went to Tooele on a bus to play basketball once and it seemed like it took forever to get there!
I can't belive it! It's snowing....so much for the tulips!
I decided to play scrabble :) And eat waffles with bananas...still in robe :/
btw added a cat to the mix for all the dogs out there!
Valerie, the scary feeling goes away the second the cannon goes off. You are trained for this, you will be an Ironman!

I have been reading a book with short stories about Type A peeps like us. It is called GOING LONG Legends, Oddballs, Combacks, & Adventures, from Runners World. I hightly reccomend it for the drive/flight to StGeorge:)
I am glad to see I'm not the only one with all these feelings! I went out today for a bike/run and backed off on both. I just don't think there is anything left to gain at this point and don't want to overdo it :/
Now if I could just control my eati…
Man that sucks Joe, I'm sorry to hear that.
Today I went to the park and played volleyball, ate fried chicken and potato chips and felt REALLY guilty. I felt like I should be riding my bike and or running etc....
I did tune my bike this week and h…
Great. I'm near Coal Creek Elementary. It will be great to get out with other IMSG local folks. A few friends and myself are getting an informal training group together in Louisville called Louisville Multisport Partners. We are at our infancy stages now sense we are clueless about starting a group...we just want people to train with and aren't a fan of a lot of the politics that can occur in large tri clubs. I'll send you an invite when we have a meeting and maybe you and your husband can come and check us out. I can't wait for the weather to break so I can get outside again.
I tried to send a message but I don't think it went through. I'm also in Louisville and I'm looking for other IM St, George folks to help suffer through long bike rides in the cold, trainer rides and long runs this winter. Let me know if you are interested in running up NCAR and riding Left Hand as the weather and roads allow.
