Preparation for a Marathon

I ran 2 marathons before using Higdon. Both I either over trained or peaked early. I used Higdon in 2009 and PR'd at 3:15. Read it, use it, and FOCUS on your long runs. Good luck

Also....I am in the market for a new bike. If anyone knows of one for sale hit me up and I have a 56 06Slice if anyone is in need. The bike has been well taken care of and is perfect for a newbie. The bike took me from sprint to 140.6 in 3 yrs.

I'm out of town for a while, I'd like to get some together to do some open water swims. Either off of gandy beach or picnic island. Hopefully when I get back the temps will be back to normal.

James, I moved to the Tampa area 90 days ago. I'm using the 20 week plan for the 1/2 ironman. I just bought a Giant Trinity last weekend at Revolution Bikes on 4th St St Pete. best comprehensive store for bikes so far. Many good Bike stores around the Bay area. Welcome. Dan (Major)

Hi James! Welcome to IamTri! Good luck with your training! I am also a Mad Dog, so maybe we will cross paths! I saw you are attending the New Years Day Tri with the Mad Dogs...I am debating the event because I think the water will be too cold for my liking!
