"I'll chime in a bit here...
What I'll report is that I felt super proud to have survived that swim. It took about 30 minutes longer than I had planned. To be fair though, at least 5 minutes or more of that time was just stopping to look…"
"Cyndi, I'm a BOP swimmer. But I grew up in Hawaii and So Cal in the waves... and spend half my year in Mexico now on the ocean. So fortunately I never felt panicked on the swim.
I ended up basically timing the waves too. I was taking breaths…"
"Nice report. Well articulated. I was talking to my wife as I read like... ya, that's what I was thinking... that's what I did too... etc, etc.
You and I might have finished on the bike about the same time, but I faltered on the run. I…"
"Cyndi, we heard they were giving an extra 30 minutes to the time limit on the swim because it was so gnarly. Did that not happen?

Good luck to everyone Saturday!"
"I don't recall the buoys being out prior to race day. I agree with your plan. Perhaps I'll see you out there today. It looks like I'll be getting to Sand Hollow close to noon, give or take. I'm presently waiting…"
"I think I've decided one way to help with my race-day swim anxiety is to go out to Sand Hollow every day until race day.
I swam there Sunday... got nervous just thinking about the race.Swam yesterday, no nervousness. Will swim today and every…"
"Everyone I've seen riding the loop has been jumping onto the bike trail at Snow Canyon since there's no shoulder and cars are running at 65 or so. Personally, I find the paved bike trail rather fun anyway. Kinda like a rollercoaster in…"
"I take a gel right before getting in the water and one right when I get out. I've got a pretty solid stomach and I've never had any stomach/GI issues in any races. I think I could probably eat a burrito coming out of the water and be fine."
