A Fox, A Friend and a Porta-Potty

Posted on July 6, 2011 at 8:35pm 4 Comments

A simple summer run.  Its all I asked for.  Just get to point B from point A and back again without incident.  Alas not this run my friends.

Im getting back into the running groove.  I foresee a half mary in my fall schedule and need to get some strength (and speed) back into the ol’ legs – (b/c as of December I’ll be 30; don’t start pssshing me over this if your over 30 --- because you may have gone through this as well so let me have mine).  So I set out for a run.  One of…

The true cost of a 14 hr three way

Posted on June 9, 2011 at 3:43pm 29 Comments

Lets be honest here.  The Ironman is the Holy Grail for all triathletes.  We work hard at our sport to get us to the start line.  Every triathlete has humble beginnings.  We have all toed the line of our first Tri – whether it was a ‘try-a-tri’ or sprint, with butterflies in our stomachs hoping that this shell of neoprene will keep us afloat.

As we walked through and around the race site/transition, there it was, on a few of the athlete’s bodies.  The M Dot.  The tattoo of…

The Waiting Game

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 7:17am 0 Comments

Waiting – Waiting – Waiting.  Summer is around the corner, but I feel that we have barley seen spring with all the rain and cold in southern Ontario.  I want to sign up for races this summer, but I cant.

Because Im waiting.

Waiting.

Waiting!

Waiting?

I have a new job – and its totally awesome.  I cant wait to start, but I have not been given my schedule.  It has odd days on and off and until I know which days on/off I…

Confessions of the Marathon

Posted on May 1, 2010 at 10:54am 2 Comments

Triathlon and I are sitting on our therapists couch. We’ve become closer since I wandered off into the arms of Marathon. The first steps of healing a broken marriage is coming clean. I know that I have to confess every detail to Tri. Confess why I left ‘him’ during the summer of 2009 and what happened.

I needed to try something new. Bricks were not looks as good as they did in years before. The daunting distance of 42.2 k was siren song to my heart and legs. I felt powerless to stop… Continue

I know....I should have held my comments until after the tour. Contador was THE BEST rider, it's just that, he should have waited for Armstrong and Klodden on the last Pyrenees' so Astana could have had the top three spot on the podium. UPDATE!!!! Yahoo Sports is reporting the big trash talk from Contador about Lance....Have a great day

Thanks for the motivation, Erika :)
The pants story is hilarious :) I usually destroy my cw-x myself - by running and rubbing so long until the inner seam breaks. Either I am too fat ( :( ) or there is an inherent problem - I had them exchanged already several times...
But at least your cat "only" caught the warm ol' pants :)
Greetings from icy Chicago (single digits - again...)
