That would be awesome - was the place you stayed at close to transition? Or a few miles away? We actually could have 8 people so this would be excellent. Let me know - just sent you an email. Thanks!
Hey everyone,
Does anyone have any recommendations on places to stay? I have about 6 people including myself that are looking around for a house to rent. If you have any ideas, can you let me know? Thanks so much!

I'm doing this with my mom (who qualified for kona last year) and my stepdad (who is in remission from cancer). it was more about being together as a family. i can do the swim in under an hour and I'm pretty quick in the flats when biking... this is…
stress fracture in my left hip - had a mri saturday. i can swim and bike fine (my better events actually). just will need to get clearance to walk the marathon and hoping that happens... fingers crossed. i can't believe 13 days!!!!
Douglas - you're doing Big Kahuna in Santa Cruz, right? Good luck! I was supposed to be doing it but ran into this injury (and wanted to save some money). Enjoy it though, it's a beautiful course as I'm sure you know!

Nice profile. I to am a novice and the Ironman sounds so exciting. I love California. I ran Napa Valley Marathon in 2003 and I've been hooked ever since. There IM is a new and exciting adventure.
Denise-thanks for the add :) Your passion is inspiring. Good luck in your training and let me know if you ever need anything. I work at a triathlon gear store!
