Love God and love people! I work for Student Venture- High School ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ and LOVE MY JOB! God has taken me on all kinds of adventures and I have landed in Indianapolis- who knows where He will direct me next. I love trying new things and sports of just about any type although I may not be good at them all. Triathalons, swing dancing and Capoeira are some of the favs!
My Tri Story:
I have been swimming all my life, but when I became a swim teacher I was challenged to swim more to become a lifeguard. Encouragement from lifeguards and then friends led me to swimming further. Then I learned how to get my mind off of the monotiny of it by praying- I could swim forever now:)
A few years ago I met a crew of co-workers who ran in the morning, so I began running with them- although unaware of how far they ran. They were training for a marathon! So if I wanted to run with them then I would have to train for a marathon. They were so encouraging and coached me a ton! They also would pray the whole time they would run aloud- so encouraging! Therefore I ran a marathon.
After that I decided to go for a half ironman in 2009 and loved it! In 2010, I beat my first half iron time by 1 hour and 10 min and still felt great so now I am hooked!
I'm a repeat finisher!

hey! I am available this Friday to do a ride or run through cool creek. It does not matter to me what exercise. The afternoon or early evening works great. It is supposed to be sunny and 50! If you can't its okay we will some other time.
Sorry it took me a while to get back to you...I was on vacation last week. It was wonderful!
My training is going ok. A lot of indoor cycling which I'm getting bored of so I'm looking forward to getting outside. I was gone last week when it was warmer but hopefully we'll get some better weather again soon. I think I'm about 9 weeks away from New Orleans 70.3? Yikes!
I'd love to get together sometime to train. Weekends are probably best for me since I work full time. Maybe we can keep an eye on the weather to see if there is a good Sat or Sun that we could ride long. My husband is also training and we know a few others who are always up for rides as well. We're trying to put together a group that we can email before the weekend to see who is available to do what. I'll keep you posted!
I actually ran outside this past weekend. Running on the treadmill gets old after awhile. The weather was cold, but it was really sunny so I enjoyed that! My training is going really well. I really love it! I cannot wait to see the outcome in a couple of months. Good luck with your training and somehow this summer we will have to meet up.
