I started using my Polar RS800CX last June (09) and within 2 months had to replace the battery. I attributed this to a low battery when purchasing. However, I am now getting another low battery warning on my watch. This is about 7 months of the new one being installed. The Polar website says batteries should last 1-2 years (assuming 14hours/week).
Three months of this included Ironman training and the race. I didn't use the watch all that much for a month after and have recently started using 6 days a week for a total of 10 hours per week. I don't use the backlight and have tried to limit beeping.
Is a short battery life (< 1 year) something you have experienced or do I need to talk to Polar about a defunct battery/watch.
