Alright, so this is my first Ironman and it's been a paradigm shift as far transitions go. I'm used to about 1-2 minutes transitioning staying in the exact same clothes the whole race, swim, bike, and run. I've read several comments and after doing a few 100+ plus rides, realize I at least need to do the bike in bike shorts with some better padding than tri shorts have. So, I'm not gonna swim in bike shorts obviously so does this mean 2 full changes for me? Out of swim shorts into bike shorts at T1 then out of bike shorts and into run shorts at T2? It sounds time consuming to me and is this about par for the Ironman? Also, for gear-carrying purposes I'll probably wear a bike jersey on the bike as well I think which is one more thing to change out of for the run. If anyone could give me a breakdown of what their transitions usually look like as far as changes and times it would be a huge help! Thanks!!!
