Comment by Bob 13 hours ago: We have had 3-4 new folks join this group even after the race is completed. Just know that there is an "Ironman Louisville 2011" group that we have started if you are doing the race next year....Lots of good info here but just know that the new group is up and running (31 folks so far). Here is a link to the 2011 group........

Also if anyone from this year's group wants to join over there.....the more the merrier. I know many of you can provide valuable advice for those doing the race next year (especially for those for whom it is their first IM).

Having done one I knew I would be embracing the pain but had no idea this one would be this painful. Enjoy! And a huge congrats to all who persevered to become an Ironman.

Comment by Michael Belh 1 day ago: Anyone can copy that if they would like, the people in triathlon are the best in sports and from what I have seen a very sharing community, i was telling people in school some of the stories of the great people on this site.. im still in amazement from watching the finish line till 12am... finishers, people who didnt make it.. doesnt matter people put their butts on the line and should be proud, it wasnt a cake walk out there by any means

That is some incredible artwork.....Your artist might want to trademark it (and have you promote it on IAMTRI)....unless you want to be a one of a kind.

I'm a little down on "the brand" myself after a few of my experiences over the weekend and the lack of water on the course for many of my iamtri mates. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing because I love seeing common people like you and me accomplish amazing things like going 140.6 in very harsh conditions. You and your sister Mary are quite the sister-sister inspiration as well....Way to go!
