Greetings everyone! If any of you are near the Spokane/CDA or even Seattle area drop a line. Lets see if we can get some group rides/runs together. I ride for Team Two Wheeler in Hayden and were starting to do some rides out of the shop on Thursdays.

You have probably been too busy training! I think I'm also coming with some teammates to do an Ironman test run in late May! I'm getting so excited for the race! I hope I'm ready!

Sorry Carly, haven't been on in a while. I didn't see your response. I always love to run...fast, slow, short, long. Good luck on the Froz Flat race!! I am hoping some of us get to meet at IMCDA, that know one another on here.
Hope training is going great!!

I'm a really slow runner! I'm not sure anyone would want to accompany me! I'll be back in Spokane/Cheney for the 'Frozen Flatlands' bike race in Cheney the first weekend of April. It will be my last bike race before Ironman. I'm too worried about crashing in a race too close to the big day! Not only is Ironman a big time investment, but a pretty big financial investment too!

Carly let me know when you come here in April. Maybe we can try and get together for a ride/run. Sorry you are still sore. And about your crash. Uh, my worst fear. Hasn't happened to me yet (knock on wood) but have heard it will some-day! =) Hope you recover from that ok.
Hope you had a great Christmas!!

@James, I REALLY hope the weather is warmer this year. Didn't race CdA last year, but was down there all day cheering on all of you great athletes, and waiting for my time to come this year. It was cold!!! Hopefully with the one extra week this year it will warm up a bit. Ya just never know around here.

Merry Christmas! I actually made the trek to Spokane on Friday and came back to Seattle on Saturday so I know how cold it was!! I went for a run on Saturday before the trip home and it was freezing! It was my first run too since the marathon and I'm really sore! Swimming is going well. I'm pretty excited to see some time come off of my 100-yd splits so hopefully I'll be good to go by June!! Not going to lie, I hope it is a lot warmer for my next trip out in April!

I hope the training is going well! Indoors and outdoors ... (I actually crashed my bike about a week ago due to super wet conditions so I will be indoors for awhile while my wrist and ego heal.)

Hi Carly. Merry Christmas! It is VERY cold here in CdA. 21 degrees today. I have been running outside still, but haven't been able to be out on the bike, due to ice/snow. Swimming is going...better. =-@
Are you feeling better yet from your marathon? Hope so.
Carly Tu Comment by Carly Tu on December 7, 2009 at 5:53pm
Hi Paula! Training will start in January and I'm excited! I just started going to a Masters group to see if that helps out my swimming. I'm still pretty beaten up from the marathon so hopefully I'll be healed by the New Year! How about you? Seems pretty cold in CDA right now!!

@Carly Happy you got to do one before IM. Good for you! Thats a huge step! Sounds like the weather was pretty good. How's the IM training going?
@Eric I would love to do Coz some day. I need to get this one under my belt first though. Sorry about your GI issues. That's always hard when you aren't feeling your best. Happy training, and see you here soon!
