This discussion will serve as the repository for group resources (videos, photos, website links, etc...) that could be helpful to you in planning/preparing for Ironman Louisville 2012.  If you find something that you think might be of value to others in the group, post it here.

To get this started, here is the link to the Ironman Louisville Ramp Up Show.............some good information and perspective about the race, course, weather, etc.......

You're very welcome!  Do you (or anyone else ) happen to know how partial slots are treated? I know that if there's only one person in a particular age group, they get a kona slot.  How would they treat an age group that is entitled to 5.4 of the kona slots or 6.8 slots?  Thanks a lot.

Matt

So cool... thanks!

You're welcome Valerie...take aim at your fellow age groupers (especially NON iamtri members) and dominate IMKY

IMKY VOLUNTEER PAGE IS UP!

Some 3,000 volunteers help make Ironman Louisville the annual success that it is.  If you know of friends or family members coming to support your Ironman journey, encourage them to sign up for a volunteer shift.  Lots of fun, rewarding jobs that will put them right in the thick of the action.....and they'll still have plenty of opportunities to see you at various points on your day.  Here is the link for the volunteer page (which is now live).  I'll also post this on the RESOURCES discussion for future reference.....

Tell your friends and family members about volunteering.  A great way to see you race plus help the race and get a free volunteer T-shirt.  Lots of great jobs available.

Bob - thanks for sharing all the great info.

I think I posted this somewhere before but couldn't find, so apologize for double posting.  Is anyone selling some IMKY training shirts or IAMTRI IMKY shirts.  I would definately like to scoop a couple of up to wear during these coming months.

Again, sorry if this is posted elsewhere.

Brad,

We offered $10 IAMTRI/IM Louisville tech t shirts last year and probably will do that again this year.  Those will be available later this summer most likely.

CARINAL HARBOUR 70.3 DISCOUNT

I just confirmed a 20% discount for IAMTRI group members who register via paper registration for the Cardinal Harbour 70.3 on July 14th in Louisville.  The only way to get this discount off your registration is to go to www.headfirstperformance.com and print off the paper registration for this race.  Submit it with a check less 20% of the stated registration fee.  Hope this helps for some of you who were considering the SOS Endurance Triathlon which was cancelled for this year.  If you have additional questions email Cynthia Heady at cynthia@headfirstperformance.com,

I forgot to mention on that last post about Cardinal Harbour that you siimply need to write IAMTRI boldly on your registration form (upper right hand corner) to get the discount.

BIKE SHOPS IN LOUISVILLE AND OLDHAM COUNTY

This is the link to a discussion from the IMKY 2011 group on this subject.  Hopefully this is helpful information to those who have a need when they are in Louisville for group trainings or on race week.
