@ Eric,  thanks for the information.  If I had to do a 112 in that today, I would have had to crawl 26.2... *S*

@ Mike the course isn't usually windy in Aug. Springtime yes it is windy. Usually have a head wind the last 30 miles on the return to downtown Louisville. In Aug your begging for a slight breeze. Last year was an exception because of the hurricane that came up the coast that week. It was breezy that day but I never heard a single complaint.

Sean, I hate to hear that. Can't stand someone who is to lazy to work to aquire things. Already sent Bob an email about whether to hire an off duty officer. Have also made the officers aware of what happened and that they may be needed. The yellow lot is part of their normal patrol when on duty so they know it well.

LAst year we didn't hire them until the number of riders increased enough to make it cost effective for everyone. Little comfort to you Sean I know. The cost was $5 per person. The lot really is a safe place. Seans car may have been random or they may have seen something they liked.Try to put everything out of sight if possible. Including duffle bags/luggage they are very tempting to a thief.

Another awesome job today Bob. This group is lucky to have you. Thanks so much for everything you do. Great to meet new friends today....and seeing old ones again. Sorry to hear about what happened to you today Sean. That's just awful.

OMG! Sean I am really sorry to hear about your break in and subsequent theft. :(  Not a good thing to have happen at all! I take it there was no off duty policeman hired for this weekend to make sure things like this don't happen?  What a bummer!

Have a question for anybody that has done the race before or just lives in the area..  In August does it get very windy along the bike course?  I did 64 miles today in 17mph (with gusts to 25mph) and my legs were toast..

Thanks

$3400!!!! Yikes! I am so sorry about this... Here we are trying to be the good people in this world and this happens.

Well, i suppose i get the award for "the vehicle that got broken in to" down at Yellow Lot today! Woo Hoo! the bandits only made off with $3400 before we could get our cards shut off. A HUGE thank you to Nathan, Hallie and the Lady who's name i didn't get for your generosity! You guys allowed my wife and i to still enjoy some of our anniversary weekend.

ALL iamtriers, take it from me, double and triple check that anything of value or peceived value is out of sight!
