Dear friends !
I am sorry if you cannot tolerate the honest opinion of one participant.
1. I think the T-Shirts (the white ones, not the bike jerseys) are ugly and very badly designed.
2. I think the prices are too high (US$ 5.00 for a sticker that costs maybe 50 c or less in production / transport is a rip-off)
3. I think there should be an official Finisher T-Shirt (instead of or in addition to the Finisher bike jersey).
4. The backpacks (the black ones with the Ironman logo) were sold out by Thursday evening.
I am neither angry nor negative nor "pissed off" and at no point did I attack Carlos personally. I am just disappointed that I will not be able to bring a Finisher T-Shirt home.
And yes, I will smile all the way to the finish line, and hope we all will have a great race.
no disrespect to you but I think this was not the right place to vent your disapointment at the products/price/looks/quantity of what is being offered. A better place would have been to speak to Carlos directly so he could take your concerns into consideration for next year. I know you will have a good race as I wish you the best.
can you tell me where I can get a large back pack? I went 5 min after the shop opened on Monday and there weren't any. In fact most of the items were sold out. I don't' believe in purchasing products for a race that I haven't finished (Bad karma). I heard some say at the store that some items can be purchased online. But it was so crazy in there that I wasn't able to get any information. Anything you can tell me would be great.
Carlos, I thought you did a fantastic job. I'm thinking it would be awesome if you had a co2 cartridge drop off somewhere when you exit leaving with your bike and gear bags after race. It was such a shame to leave them in rental house knowing they would just be thrown out and I couldn't bring them back on airplane with me. I'm all about recycling and don't think you would need to offer refund. Who likes to throw this stuff out?
