With race day approaching very soon for many, and in the not-to-distant future for many others, I figured that nutritional needs would be a good discussion. This afternoon, I had a rather nasty bonk on what should have been a straight forward ten mile run before work. I finished the run, but mile ten was ugly. Since our group is 50+, I think we can give each other some insight into how we satisfy the race day cravings. Has anyone specifically figured out there half IM and full IM caloric needs, and if so, what product(s) do you take to feed the furnace? I have enough time before my first race that I could experiment with some of your suggestions.
