I have issued myself a challenge over the next 30 days to double my base miles to get back to my marathon preparation since I have switched to Newtons. Long story but if you want the background, I posted it on my blog.
I wanted to start a thread and see what everyone's challenges to themsleves were for the next 30 days. We all know that goals are critical and "if you don't establish a destination, then it doesn't matter where you end up, you were never going to get there in the first place" (Frank Winger).
So for those of you that have a short term 30 day goal or plan, share it with us. If you don't, I'd like to challenge you to dig down and put your mark on the map... take a stand and help push yourself towards the endurance athlete you are destined to be and will become. Our group is all about pushing the envelope as the odds of age try to stack against us. Our group is also about defying those odds and setting personal records and staring age in the face and defiantly shattering records we set 10, 15 and 20 years prior.
So what are you going to set as a benchmark for the next 30 days? What do you want to embark on as your personal challenge for April / May? Let's continue to benefit from this terrific synergy we have in our 50+ group and raise the bar. So share, how are you raising the bar this month?
