S. Cal. Used to live there. Hated the traffic but really liked the weather. Here in Illinois it would be a trade up for rainy and windy.

It's very rainy and windy here in normally sunny Southern California. :) I just hit the gym and figured today would be a good day to read my Ironman training books. I'm glad it's also a holiday! I wish my full-time job was training! Back to work tomorrow...ugh.

Does it count if I'm unemployed and the closest thing I have to a job is showing up at the YMCA everyday?
Sarah McCoy Comment by Sarah McCoy on November 13, 2009 at 2:38pm
I did have my gym sponsor me for my 2nd marathon and that was awesome. I mentally have the stamina and I was able to improve my marathon time by almost 17 mins in 3 months. I'm training myself and 110% committed...well, okay...addicted!

Haha! Sarah that could be a possibility. I feel the same way! A lot of companies would sponsor if you both came up with a "business deal" by getting their business name out there by wearing shirts, hats, ect. By promoting their conpany in some way. I say Luke, and Sarah it wouldn't hurt to ask companies to be your business sponser.

I'm right there with you Luke. :) I'm more than happy to bust my butt and become amazing if someone would just support me financially. I'm feeling extremely addicted right now and have NO desire to work my "other" job. I have a new bike (Lola is her name) and had a sweet ride yesterday and all I want to do is train. Ugh! Do you think my attitude might have something to do with the fact that it is Friday too and I only have to teach on Monday and then off to Nashville for a week? heheehe
